Join the Weaving Workshop with Sidi Zahid - a true legend of Marrakesh Weavers with an addiction to Pinterest which he uses as inspiration to add unique touches to his rugs!

Sidi Zahid who will lead the workshop inherited the knowledge of the craft from his father and grandfather. Weaving has always been his passion and he likes to experiment with different techniques and materials.

You will witness not only his skills but also the inspiring life attitude and wisdom of this craftsman.

This workshop is perfect for beginners! You will learn how to use various fibres & techniques. Once you have mastered the basics, you will be able to experiment with the textures and colours by yourself.

09:30am - We will be meeting at Cafe France and walk through the souks to the workshop of Sidi Zahid in the medina of Marrakesh.

10am - Welcome by Sidi Zahid & a theoretical introduction to the craft.

11am - Own experimenting under Sidi Zahid’s guidance
 

1pm - A chance to wander in the cooperative and watch other craftsmen at work.  You may also choose to buy some items directly from the craftsmen at affordable prices!
